Cheap Waterproof ALDI(UK) keyboard

In ALDI store tomorrow a waterproof keyboard. Ideal for dusty enviroment or those spilt cups of coffee. Comes in white, black, blue and PINK. This time please leave one for me just as long asits not pink. Its also possible to roll this keyboard up.

They also had instore a remote mouse with number pad which may make a cheap pendant(Aprox £16)

Thanks Al,

Just made me take a closer look at the Aldi one and it is USB so as I use Turbocnc which as you will already know is DOS I think I wont be able to use it.
I do keep thinking about upgrading to Mach software but as yet I’ve seen no reason to.

Could some one please confirm I will not be able to use it with Turbocnc?

John

Oldman,
It comes with a ps2 adapter and I use one on my setup with TurboCNC.
Works great and is truly swarf and coolant proof. A friend of mine actually stuck a soldinging iron (hot) into his to see how it would standup to hot chips. His is working very well even with this abuse.

The ONLY problem I have is that I have used the right ALT key so much for continious jogging that the lettering has worn off between the use and coolant!

Before I got one, I was regularly going through keyboards due to the coolant and swarf. You won't regret it!

Same here

Once got a pea nut stuck under one of my keys on my laptop drove me mad till I realised I could unclip the key and move it. First I tried to crush it but ended up under two keys.

Managed to get my grubby paws on a BLACK keyboard.

Very impressed on first impression. Only marginally more pressure involved to type although I do find am missing the odd letter. Delete button could do with being bigger plus the spacebar is split in 2. These are only minor crits and am sure I will e use to them. Pity I don't have the money to purchase a few more. But alas I have a wife, 2 kids,2 cats and an incomplete CNC machine to support.

I have been using one of these for 12 months.
I highly recommend it.

If using USB is a problem you could always try it with Mach 3, since it runs with Windows XP
