| Hello, Pros: Claimed to be smoother in operation. These are really aimed at the high end of the stepper market. Cons: High cost of motors and drives. Drives scarce in the used market, motors sometimes found cheap (cuz no one can afford the drives to use 'em!) Only a few sources for motors and drives. Since most DIY-CNC folks don't use 'em, you're on your own if you have problems Generally only available in size 23 (used) Higher fullstep count means that speeds may be an issue depending on your controllers pulse rate output.
