Hi all,

is there anyone located in Southern California who wouldn't mind milling some Aluminium for me?

The problem with building a router is that you really need to bootstrap it, like Balsaman did. ie. build a simple wooden one and then use it to machine parts for a better one.

You can carefully cut aluminum on a tablesaw. Use a fine toothed carbide blade. Wear saftey glasses.

and use saw wax or a mister.

Don't be too alarmed, it will be very loud, ear plugs are your friend...
