um.. looks like a vice jaw or grabber , tightner type thing of sorts...
i thought acrylic was a type of paint ! i think its also a plastic engineering material ( not unlike PVC, Delrin or ABC ? )

I think it's missing the dimension on distance to arck on top (before the 15 deg radius curve)

Why CNC?
What quantity?
Acrylic (plexiglass) is free machining, and pours well into molds too!
So why do it with expensive machining?

I think (maybe wrong) it is very simple to make in a hobby CNC ... i need in this case 1 peace only and if i have a simple and litle Mill it is easy but i dont have one.

Acrylic is for polish later. It is a matrix for make a model in composite.

Sory about my english !

Villas, that part would be a pain to make... you'd have to do several setups because you can't cut the whole part coming from one direction. I don't even know if it possible to get those sharp inside corners on a mill.

You will need to redesign it, or pay alot of money, IMO.

villas - you say you want to finish with a "copy" from which to make composite copies.
I assume you have the aluminium original that is in the photo.
If this is so, and the dimensions are as you have drawn(or are they different?), I would resurface the aluminium with any filler/ paint, whatever, to cover up any blemishes. Then make a mould using silicone rubber, and cast a copy in acrylic. Polish that, then you have what you need for the final mould.

You are correct, there is a missing dimension in the side view, the line where the horizontal hole starts.

The changes i need dont permit a resurface of this aluminium piece. I need to make another one with diferent dimensions. I have all material for copy in composite with a silicon rubber (all the process is for it).
Thanks

Jeff

I make that piece in a mill but it cost me about U$50,00 and it is a lot for me.
The work is for 2 or 3 hours in a good mill in aluminium and i redesign de dimensions ... i forgot the R 2 degrees inside hole.

This is the first piece in acrylic (the aluminium is the version 2)

Thanks
