I have finally had the time to get this all together. Took a while to get the bearings, then of course machining and getting everything to fit perfectly. It is designed to fit the RotoZip by Bosch, mounts very firmly with one bolt. Any NEMA 23 stepper bolts to the top and drives the 3/8-12 ACME precision leadscrew going through an acetal leadnut. Bolts holding the bearings on the left side are threaded right into the backplate, and the ones on the right are adjustable with a set-screw, keeps the bearings snug against the 1/2" steel rod. This will bolt to the Y axis with the four 5/16" bolts. I have a few of these under construction, and I will list this one on eBay. | Thanks Phil. I am making a different version of the back plate so that I can mount the Z axis directly to another set of V groove bearings that will run on a horizontal set of rails for my X axis. That is a couple weeks away though. Here is the link to the auction http://cgi.ebay.com/CNC-Z-axis-Linea...QQcmdZViewItem Colin |

| Thanks Greolt for the heads up. I have changed the listing as you suggested. Have a look, if you will, and let me know if you have any more suggestions. I am fairly new to ebay and VERY new at HTML. I welcome suggestions to improve my listings. Thanks for the kudos Jason. It is a fairly time consuming process to develop something like this, I am glad it turned out as well as it has. Colin |
