is there any way to have a 2axis machine with an automatic z axis machine would reach its xy cordinates then come down auto drill hole then back up move to next hole and repeat for hundeds of times seem to me this is possible |

| Sure if what you are thinking about is positioning a carriage and then drilling the hole woith something like a pneumatic drill. Just a bit of programming. Now it wouldn't take that much more effort to just make a three axis machine. let the Z axs do the driliing cycles for you. You would still need a spindle motor but that is no big deal. Dave |
