anyone out there build a machine from parts available at 80/20's website or ebay garage sale? I'm looking for pictures and ideas. Just got plans in the mail today for the Solsylva router and i like the overall design, i'm just thinking that it might be a bit more efficient to use some of the 80/20 stuff in it from the get-go? thanks for any help/pics/pointers! |

| I built mine from 80/20 stuff that I scrounged from the local scrap yard. Used my other CNC machine to fabricate various mounting plates etc.. Here are some pics of my machine. It will do ~36" X 26" x 6", I use a rotozip tool and gecko drivers on a homemade power supply. Mach2 is my control software and I use Corel Draw, autocad for design work and sheetcam for the cam software.... http://logantele.com/~jhonaker/cnc/router/cncrouter.htm |

| Bought my stuff from Tim before there was a 80/20 garage. Check out my System1 and System2 in the members Photos sections. System2 is mounted on a workbench and more stable than System1 was. Used a lot of non-metalic parts (plastics). Jim
