CNC Router / Plasma | | Hello guys!! Great website and forum you have here!!! I have been a member for a little while now, and this is my first post. I have read through alot of stuff on here, and did alot of searching. He's my ? I want to be able to rout, engrave, etch, carve, and maybe later cut vinyl or stencils. I would also like the option of plasma. The main materials i would use is wood, aluminum, plastic or nylon. Most of my stuff would be musical instruments bodys, necks, inlaying, and carving wood pcs. As far as steel i would say no more than 1/4" thickness. (I already have a plasma cutter.) I would want to do 3D and have a 3-axis, I would like a 4'x4' table if not a 4'x8' I would prefer the laminate trimmer style cutter instead of dremel style. I would like somehing that can be moved easy if had to be. I had read and been looking at the following: pratical CNC, DynaCNC, Torchmates line, shop sabre, K2CNC, and various ones on ebay as well as DIY ones. Building one isn't out of my range or knowledge. I just got thinking of the time as well as the $$$$ comparison similarities. I want a good quality machine thats dependable, and fairly accurate. So what's yalls suggestions?? As far as $$$ would like to stay around $5000-$10,000. |
