building first cnc router | | I have got most everthing i need to start building; EXCEPT the ballscrews, I want to run this machine at 375 IPM. With a 3 1/4 HP router. I'm useing servo motors 3000 rpm with 200 count encoders. what i would like to know is how to figure out what ball screws (lead and diameter)I need for a 3'X5' cnc machine with a cut area of approx. 2'6"X4'. Pushing a 3 1/4 hp router thru a 3/4 piece of hard wood and would also like to mill aluminum. and also need to know how to figure resolution. because i understand when the resolution gets low its hard to break loose of static friction with servo motors Would appreaciate any help, Thanks Brady |
