I fly model helicopters in a smaller size but wanted to get into quite a bit larger size. I ended up ordering some parts for one including a motor. The Align 700MX has the following specs. Has anyone considered using one of these as a spindle? I would have to think that this particular motor with an appropriate speed controller and large ass power supply would do a pretty good job as a router. Only difficulty would be mounting a ER8 collet onto the 6mm shaft on this motor. This motor is three phase and designed to be used in large electric planes/helicopters with integral cooling. It's a outrunner design. The speed controller's have a PWM input from the radio reciever for throttle control
- Input voltage: DC11.1V-50.4V
- Max continuous current: 90A/150A(5sec)
- Max output power: 4000W/6600W(5sec)
- KV value: 530KV
- Stator Arms: 12
- Magnet Poles: 10
