Build Thread- Newb starting new build

Hi all,
Just wanted to throw a few lines out and post some pics. Im starting a build of a CNC router. Today i got the bed build, cut out the sides for the gantry and temporarily mounted the rails. Im not going off of any plans. Just kind of making it up as i go. Its about 3'x3' with about 2' tall gantry with a 4" offset. Ill post more pics as i go along, but in the mean time i welcome any constructive criticism/ ideas.

as far as what? I plan on using skate bearings and a lead screw for the movement if thats not what you were asking just let me know and ill fill you in best i can. its a design in process lol

i will be finishing up the gantrty today and plan to have it rolling(without the drive screw) ill post more pics later

Is that particle board you are using for your gantry uprights?

yes but those are just some templates i made with some spare material. Will be going back with mdf.

Ok so ii worked a little on the roller system in between football games. Wanted to Get the whole gantry up and rolling but what can i say. There were some good games on. Anyways here is what i worked out for the rollers. this is what will sit on top the rail and i plan to build the same thing that will be adjustable to kind of sandwich the rail. Let me know what you think.
