Looking for really slinky dust collection hose

I'm looking for a source for some really slinky dust collection hose for my DIY wood router. Something in the 1.0 to 1.5" range. I'm trying to minimize stiffness in the Z axis as well as the X and Y.

I found a hose at McMaster that was advertised as very flexible, but its not flexible enough.

Something like the RV sewer hose in a smaller diameter would be nice. I'm looking for it to accordian nicely.

Any thoughts?

Maybe try the flexible water drain pipes for sinks.

You might like this:

It's very flexible and the ends can be removed and replaced so that the hose can be made the perfect length.

Don

Oops, just realized you want something only 1 to 1.5".

Search for a material called santoprene (sp?) McMaster usually has it. I don't know if that is what you bought or not. I purchased it for a vac application at work and got it in 2" size. The hose that I got was wire reinforced so that it could withstand the vac pressure, it was VERY flexible.

Did you find your hose yet?
I have a very slinky small hose at home, I don't remember how I came to have it. I know I don't use it. I don't know what size it is but I THINK it's in that range. I can check when I get home.
If it will work and you want it, it's yours for shipping costs.

BobL, Thanks for the offer. Depending on diameter and length, it may be worth persuing.

Others, thanks as well. I did not see santoprene in a hose form on Mcmaster. Other products made with it though. The hose I bought was Blow-R-Vac hose and the picture shows a slinky hose, but that is not what I got. Semi-rigid hose like a ShopVac hose won't work either. I need it to flex along its length and have a fairly sharp bend radius.

I use RV sewer hose on my manual router table and it looks like this. Compresses like a slinky. 4 feet of hose compresses to just a few inches. However, RV sewer hose is 3" and the application doesn't need 3". I usually don't have too much trouble finding things like that, but I seem to be lost.

I'd take a picture, but I'm at work.

I don't know how long they need to be, but I have 4. Two of them have a hose diameter of 1-1/2" and the other two hoses are 1-3/4".

They are very slinky. I don't know how a hose could be any more slinky than these.

Anyhow, you can have two of them if you want. Don't know how much these pics are worth, but hopefully you can see in the one that shows them hanging that they do not come out very far until they are vertical.

Anyhow, your call.

BobL.
