I know this is not much but with 53" of travel that ends up to be a little less than 1/8". I don't think it is missed steps because my indicator reads 0.000 when I return to machine 0.000, Y and Z are OK. I know there is a way to adjust this could someone help. I am using Mach2. Thanks

| Are you using a screw driven system? I build a small pcb drill system wich uses ordinary M12 allthread and it was 1% off. So I had to recalculate the distance per step and now have perfect results. Hope this helps, Luc. |

| Change your steps / inch to compensate for the .002 (In the motor tuning page)

| You need to check your steps per inch and adjust this value. If it is correct you will need to multiply the steps per inch by 1.002. (1 in / .998 in) For example if you have a 5tpi screw directly driven by a 1.8* stepper running on a 1/8 micro step drive the nominal steps per inch would be 200 step/rev x 8 microsteps X 5 revs per inch =8000 steps per inch. Now you put this value in and measure .998 movment when told move one inch, ie lost .002 you would take 8000 X 1.002 = 8016 steps per inch to fix the problem. Your problem sounds like lead error in the screw.
