Need Help!- FLA-100 router question

I ordered a FLA-100 from Fine Line and am wondering what would be a good all around router for this machine? I want to carve mainly wood some aluminum and plastics. I have looked at the porter cable 690LR, porter cable 892,Bosch
1617ev and the Hitachi M12VC which K2cnc sells mounts for any recommendations? I plan on using a speed controller.

What kind of speed controller? The only speed control that works better than a variable speed router is the SuperPID.
If you're not using a SuperPID, than any variable speed router you mentioned will work fine. Hitachi is cheapest, but is used by a lot of people.

Gerry, yes that is the one I think SuperPID if it's the one that cost around $150.00 I seen a video on one here. so you think any of those routers would work ok I was just concerned with the durably and HP rating being less on some of them Thank you..

I am running the Bosch right now and am happy with it. I ran the 690 for a long time, and was happy with it as well. The bearing in the 690 started to get noisy, so I switched. The 690 took a lot of abuse for a long time, and did really well.
