I use CorelDRAW for creating most of the artwork for my CNC Router table, and learned something today that I think would be of interest to everyone who has a CNC Router. Please see the attached CNCEngraving.PDF for a graphic illustration of what I am talking about. Even if you are not currently a CorelDRAW user, you may find that you need to be, just for the added versatility the program offers. For me, making this discovery, was almost like getting new software for FREE! -Enjoy! |

| You could also use Inkscape to create text, then save it as an .eps file. A popup screen will appear; you would then check the box that says convert text to paths... You can also save as an hpgl or plt file as well. I've never used LazyCam, so I can't speak for how the files import in, but I've used Inkscape also to take artwork that I normally can't open, like .pdf files, and convert it to lines.... best of all it's free! |
