Does anyone have experience with either of these steppers? I'm looking for steppers to match up to a Gecko G540. I've tentatively narrowed it down to 2 Keling offerings: KL23H284-35-4B KL23H2100-35-4B I'm running dual steppers/screws on the x-axis. Should I go with 2 smaller steppers on this axis? My machine is roughly 2'x4' and will be used for wood, aluminum, plastic, & possibly circuit boards (if the resolution comes out good enough). Any other stepper recommendations? Thanks in advance. |

| The G540 has a maximum voltage limit of 50 volts. Based on the formula of 32 * sqr(winding inductance in mH), the maximum recommended voltage for the KL23H2100-35-4B comes out to 53 volts, which is closer to 50 volts than the maximum recommended voltage for the KL23H284-35-4B (which comes out to 64 volts). So if you get the KL23H284-35-4B, you will not be able to get the ultimate motor speed out of it, because you will not be able to apply as much voltage as it "wants". Inasmuch as there are other factors besides applied voltage that could affect the actual maximum obtainable speed out of the motor, I can not say for certain whether or not that difference would be significant in your application. |
