Fine Line FLA500 questions

I fired off a few questions to Fine Line via email but haven't gotten a response. I was wondering if anyone here could help me out.

I'm considering purchasing a FLA500-00 complete kit. Does anyone know if this kit has rack and pinion? With a 4' stroke I'm guessing it's required. If this is a special order item, how can I order it? There's no phone number listed on their website and email communication seems to be pretty slow.

the 4' axis is R&P, the 2 and 3' axis are screw in the entire line. So, a 4 x 4 is R&P on both axis. Any axis smaller than 4' is screw. Of course, all of the Z's are screw.

The FLA series is really nice, very high quality, very nice design. Nate is very helpful.

However, he often takes a long time to get back to you and sometimes takes a long time to ship.

For me, the tradeoff is worth it, YMMV.

I understand he got some flooding problems, which adds to his issues of balancing his real work with FLA. FLA is a part time effort.
