I'm setting up my vacuum table, trying to get the layout all figured. I have my new regenerative blower, but Ive been told that with a regenerative blower you need a vacuum relief valve. I can find hundreds of valves on the internet, but i don't know which one is for my situation. Has anyone have one on their machine that i can get a part number off of ? Or does anyone know of a supplier that deals in these valves specifically that i can get a hold of? Thanks Wade |

| I think that he is talking about a pressure relief valve that will automatically vent when vacuum is too great. Look at Grainger or McMaster. Also look at JoeWoodworker and his vacuum stuff. Alan

| If you have the table zoned and are worried about too low a vacuum just partly open an unused zone? I have used up to 10hp regenerative and so far have had not need for relief valves. Al.

| I haven't measured the temp, it get fairly hot but nothing high enough to worry about. It has an external cooling fan. Al.

| we have a 17hp regen pump on our 5x10. It has a relief valve that is set from the factory to 11"HG It only opens when when the entire table is covered by a non porous sheet. According the the pump manual it MUST have a relief valve since this type of pump needs to have some air moving. I know that If I block the relief valve the pump makes a whining noise and does not sound good. My pump housing gets up to 55-60deg C after about 2 hours of constant running. The exhaust is around 60-65C and gets pumped outside. |
