Huanyang VFD with Matty's plugin

After reading this thread in the Mach forum this plug-in didn't look to promising so I decided to do some research and pick up a relay board to control my spindle with Mach when ready.

Came across this rs-485 on ebay(link below), looked and seen I had the chip in my VFD and thought for 6 bucks I'll give it a try. It came today and 30 minuets later I have my spindle working through Mach 3 flawlessly.

Finally something went easy and cheap for me with this hobby.

Hi !

I have the same interface but it doesn't seem to work on my VFD.

Do you had to connect the +5v signal to make it work ? i haven't tried yet, just connected the signal cables.

No, all I connected was the RS+ and RS- from VFD to the RS-485 converter.



Are you getting PD001=2, PD002=2 or are they both reading 99?

I've read allot of these VFD is missing the chip on the board, did you check if yours was in place?
