| Don't know what your definition of cheap is, but you can find t-tracks relatively inexpensively; you could either cut grooves for them into your table, or attach them directly to your table and fill "in between" with your spoilboard material. Some of them even use regular hex nuts, so you can make your own clamps and hold downs.... |

| I constructed my table out of steel angle, with steel square tubes as cross braces, and 0.75"x3.5" 6061 aluminum slats, spaced 5/8" apart to serve as the table surface. I mounted 1/4"x2" steel slats underneath the table, and drilled and tapped holes into the 1/4" slats into which I can thread 1/2" bolts between the aluminum slats of the table surface for secure, mounting of objects to be cut on the table. I later added small bearings to each end of the 1/4" slats to make positioning adjustments easier- (they ride along the horizontal plane of the steel angle stock of the table's frame). This is not necessarily the "cheapest" solution, but it works. And allows for almost limitless positioning for different sized pieces to be machined or cut. |

| I use a large piece of mdf for a spoil board and screw the pieces or jigs directly to the table. Super sturdy and super cheap!
