I'm using a Wolfgang spindle driven by a 12v motor to make detailed carvings in wood using my 14"x14" router. It was working great but the last two projects were ruined because the bit slipped in the spindle. The bit slipped down in the spindle thus gouging the workpiece and then the bit broke. I was using 1/8" fishtail bits obtained from PreciseBits.com to cut hard maple at .05" DOC, 30"/minute, and about 20k rpm. Anyone have this problem? Any ideas why the bits are slipping? Better yet, any solutions? I'm going to use my Taig spindle for now. TIA Don |

| Ensure the collet is absolutely free from any specs of dust or dirt, also check up in where the collect sits in the spindle, I've seen specs of dust mentioned before causing problems. good luck
