Blocked cooling lines...

Hey all,

I have a bit of a serious problem...
I have a water cooled spindle that seems to be blocked somewhere, up until now it has let enough water through to cool the spindle but now it seems to not be allowing enough water through...

Has anyone some good tips on flushing the lines?

I thought about just reversing the flow but not sure if this will cause any issues... Actually I think we tried this a while back...

Im not sure on the make of the spindle but it is an 800W head...

Thanks,
Bill

OK...

I hardened up and pulled the spindle off, the old man blew in it one way and didnt seem to get anywhere, then blew the other way and water came out... Now either way you blow it; it works fine and easily...

Now to go check the hoses and run some fresh water on short lines through the spindle...

Buy me a Beer?

I use an air compressor to flush my coolant lines. I use a low 10-20 psi.

I also use a compressor to blow my coolant lines clear, strange though that sometimes I notice the flow getting slower so I give the lines a good shake and rattle, the flow returns !!! must be a bit of debris in there somewhere.
