Is there any major reason why I can't use one large size, say 25mm x 10mm pitch for the X and Y axis of my machine, and then a smaller 16mm or 20mm with a 5 mm pitch for my Z axis? the X and Y have to move 48", while the Z is only going to have a total of 8" movement. I'm thinking this shouldn't pose any problems with the system, as it's all in the motor tuning. Oh, I'm planning on using these motors: Motion Control Products - DMM Technology (the 1015 oz. servos) |
