| 20,000 steps per inch. 200steps per motor revolution, times 10 microsteps, times 10 turns per inch.

| First, go to Config > Select Native Units, and select Inches. Close, and restart Mach3. Then, go to Config > Motor Tuning, and set the steps per unit for each axis, and click Save. Then close and restart Mach3. Then you'll need to go back into the motor tuning screens and adjust acceleration and velocity for each motor. The up and down arrow keys should jog the current motor while in the tuning screen.

Is that single start, 5-start or what? That will make a difference. Mine is a 1/2-10 5-start so these are my settings: Steps per = 4000 Velocity = 220 Acceleration = 60 After you make those changes, you may have to close Mach and re-start it for the changes to take effect.

800 inches sounds like Mach3 is in metric mode (the default for new installs I think) and you are entering inch mode numbers. 36 inches is 914.4 mm. Check that in the Configuration menu. CarveOne
