G540 Nema 23's 3.5A 48V PSU I have a lot of noise when the motors are stationary. I have wired them as recommended in the G540 manual with pins 1 -5 with 3.5K resistors and pins 2,3,4 to the shielding. I have tried it with everything off around the machine including the computer itself and the noise is still there. Do I need to ground the motors themselves to the shielding? Thanks Andrew |

| Have you followed the G540 motor tuning instructions from Gecko's site? There is a small potentiometer inside a hole in the cover for each of the four motor outputs. CarveOne

| I have a new 4 axis G540 kit from cncrouterparts on the bench with just the short motor leads plugged directly into the G540. It makes no noticeable noise when powered and not moving, just when the motors are moving. I haven't made any cables for it yet, and haven't done the tuning procedure. CarveOne
