I am in the process of building a 63x36 machine. How long do I need to buy my lead screws.

I am building it from 1/2 aluminum, so the 36 would actually be 37 from outer edge to outer edge. Do I need to buy it an inch longer or what to make sure I have enough to couple my motor to

have you drawn a plan view. By using your length and width the screws should be able to be calculate. The stepper motor mount and coupler will determine length and also the screw bearing blocks. There are to many variables for anyone to give you a number.

Give some more information described above and we can get you a legnth.
