| Hi to all.. See my url at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/janrose Do NOT include the www bit. Here you find my first attempt at a router, all aluminium, and you may be interested to see how I went about the spindle problem. I used the head off a small drillpress. It runs on bearings 6804zz rated at 22k rpms. The spindle is very robust, and I am driving it from a 12v motorcar fan motor, stepped up approx 2:1. Seems to be alright with wood. OK, I also run the thing at 18volts for more speed. Jannie |
