NSK or Hiwin linear bearings?

I'm trying to decide on linear bearings for a gantry style machine to cut mostly aluminum, but also wood and plastic. I can afford THK SHS or HSR bearings for the Z axis but not for the X or Y, as I want a minimum work area of 24" x 24". I was looking at the 20MM NSK "LY Series" and the Hiwin "LG Series" from Automation-Overstock.com. I know both the NSK's and Hiwin's have a high 4-way equal load rating. I want an accurate machine, and although the motor and spindle will weigh under 50 lbs, I'm sure the entire gantry will be well over one hundred pounds. The design currently uses a fixed gantry because I believe it will be more stable, although I don't like the extra cost. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am pretty new at this. Thanks!

I've not used NSK, but the LG series Hiwin are excellent. You can't go wrong with them. Especially at the price from automationoverstock.

I have both, and if new the NSK are a two ball system and the Hiwin a single track setup.

The two ball NSK system is a bit smoother but new cost is way more than the Hiwin.

The 15mm Hiwin is a great deal and I have one here. I would use it for almost any size router table.

The nsk LY are better for machine tool building, they have a preload on all 4 balls rows making them stiffer then the equivalent 20mm rails(witch have the perload on only 2 ball rows of the 4). The lg series from hiwin has only 2 rows of balls, they are not the best solution for machine tolls, but for routers i think they are excellent because the forces and moments are much lower then the rated ones.
