Chinese Spindle - Top Connectors

Has anybody switched out the tall top-side power connector on the love-happyshopping round spindles to something... shorter?

I'm trying to fit one into a tight space and it would be extremely helpful if I could switch to a 90 degree elbow. The same goes for the water lines, but I don't think that will be a problem.

I'm looking at this spindle here, which is listed as a length of 160mm. It's fairly obvious the photo is of a unit 210mm length though, so I'll have to email the seller to verify the length.

So, has anybody done this? Or at least know what type of connector I would be looking for?

thanks to diyengineer and dwalsh, I at least know what the connectors are

3 pin mini dins

I think I should be able to find one that would allow a right angle connection (and accommodates at least 8A)

I would like to know how you will implement that connector. Ideally, the male connector would be rigidly mounted to the spindle. How is it that I do that? I can see tapping the upper housing, or getting an adapter. But the wires inside are a fixed length, so soldering seems like it would be difficult. Maybe if the pins could be soldered, and then snapped into the connector, as it is put on?

Just wondering. I would like to see a more durable connection on my spindle. It remains the most unprofessional wire connection on my machine.

To be honest, I'm not sure as I have yet to get a good look at the spindle (don't have it yet).

For a more industrial connector, take a look at these: McMaster-Carr

Sorry to be a bit off topic here,
I was interested in the spindle so I followed the link to love-happyshopping
I was impressed that the were ISO9001 certified, that was until I read a copy of their ISO9001 certificate proudly displayed on the web page
Doesnt appear to actually include CNC spindle motors and the name on the certificate has been poorly altered.
Hope you didnt purchase it based on being 9001 quality assured.

Hi

For the Shanghai Hangzhou Medical Equipment Plant, ISO9001 certified
it is not true, they modified it. If you check it, there are 2
font of letters. If you google or Yahoo! search, you can not find this plant

The factory or manufacture can make products, or spindle, but not plant

Regarding the German Bearing, it is not imported from German
