| >30x30x10 + the diameter of the cutting bit you intend to use. Rails would have to be longer than those dimensions by the width of the carriages / bearings.

| i've found that depends on the materals you make it out of.. MDF or PLY you will need to add about 20cm each for X & Y for the carrages & Axis rails etc.. it also gives you a bit of wiggle room (clamps etc...). so to do 30cm x 30cm i would do a 50cm x 50cm x 30cm machine at least or a 60cm x 60cm x 40cm to be safe.. just my 2c worth as i'm new & learning stuff all the time too.. and size is a major one.. i err on the too big then the not big enough. |

Is this the design you intend to use? Unsupported rails will not do the job. |
