Hello. Can anyone help me? I have an old Dahlgren 300 router table that I want to control using a Lewetz 3 axis controller. I have motors by RS (8 wire). I think I have paired the wires corectly, but don't know which pair of wires I solder to which pin on the D conector. Many thanks Phil

Hi Phil, Hisn't the Dehlgren more an engraver than router, what i mean is wont it be little weak for routing.? Any way if you can give more info on the Lewetz controller i'll try and help. It should give you drive requirments telling you if the motors need to be wired for Bi-polar serial or parallel, unipolar etc. (Most likely Serial for engraver.?) This will detemine which wires to join, the controller info should also have the neccesary pins for each drive/motor for each axis. I have no experience of either machine or controller but it wont be hard to figure out if you have the controller manuel giving drive type and motor requirments. Dean.

Ok just done a little research and found Lewetz download page unfortunately it wont let you download the cnc control manuel but it will let you down laod the step3 drive manuel which as a good chnce of being the drive they use in the controller. This drive can work with 2 phase motors wired either Bi-polar serial or parallel or unipolar. If you dont have any info can you get inside and look at the board and work out the drives used. If you could take some good quality photo's it would help. The manuel shows all the necccesary connectors for each phase etc on drive and even pin outs for cables but cant be sure if these drives are the same as used in your controller so would be very warey of reallying or using these. It's very easy to fry a board if wired wrong so need to be carefull and sure the pins/connectors used are the right one's.

May be a case of new individual drives etc required making your own control box and control thru Mach3 or some other control software.? . . . Unless it can be repaired.? Lets see.!! . . . . PM sent.
