| I know about 80/20's eBay site and that is great, but it is really hit or miss. I need, for instance, about 3' of 3030. I need even less of 1545. I can get a piece that is too small or way too large. I can get 1010, 1020, 1515 and 1530 at McMaster, but that doesn't cover the 1545 and 3030. MSC only offers 8' sections of the 1010, 1020, 1515 and 1530 and at a higher price than McMaster. I've checked 80/20's supplier listing, but it is dubious at best (a hydraulic manufacturing company is my local supplier?). I am aware that FLA sells an 80/20 bundle, but $610 is far more than the cost of the extrusions, if I bought everything in 8' lengths, and I am modifying their FLA-100 router to a smaller size anyway. I would prefer to machine the parts myself, so this really is not an option. Where can I buy this stuff and preferably cut to size? |

| This is the 80/20 supplier I work with (family owned business): Dan Fanolla F and L Industrial Inc. 11870 Community Rd Ste. 235 Poway, CA 92064 Ph: (858) 602-1500 Fax: (858) 602-1505 Very good service and cut to exact size. I'm local to them so I just drive down and pickup the parts but I know they ship too. Send them a sketch and they will create a 3D ACAD drawing for you. They send it back to you to confirm everything with a full BOM before you execute the order. |

| I've used http://www.automation4less.com/ quite a bit in the past and they have competitive pricing for extrusion/fasteners/brackets.

| Also noticed you mentioned about getting 3D models of the extrusion for Sketchup. You can download free models of the 80/20 extrusion, brackets, etc. at http://www.3dcontentcentral.com/. I think these models at supplied by 80/20 inc. directly but I could be wrong. You can also download all kinds of other 3D models, bearings, keyboards, mice, etc. They provide the models in all kinds of formats so I'm they would provide something Sketchup supports.

Great customer service and the cuts were great. Their website is excellent. The website gives all the specs you could want on this stuff. Automation 4 Less: TSLOTS Extrusions I am a very satisfied customer. Extruded aluminum (8020) is not cheap stuff so you only want to pay for what you need. Compare the prices of 8020 garage sale and I think you will find them about the same as Automation4Less. And you get it cut to the size you need and your not buying stuff you don't need. Rick |
