Hello people. Just a few hours ago i managed to build a lovely power supply for my cnc project (A diy scara robot) using 2 old AT power supplys from computers. The objective was to have 24 volts and good amp quantity(10 to be calm), since i discover that my stepper motors needs 8 amp! to run properly. Ok. The rewards are not mine. This has been doing before, but now i am another dude telling to you that IT IS POSSIBLE! Before i read it, i saw alot of places about the chances of doing this well, and many people say that is not possible, or unstable, or things like that. I read and go for this web tutorial (It include pictures and everytingh): ProCooling.com Check it out. Great stuff. Now, i dont think that this is 100 per cent glories: Should be some downside on this of plug multiple power supplies!...but then again, the 2 i used cost me...notingh, because i have it in mi job, ready to trow away anytime. the entire task of insulation take me about half hour. This night i will test the experiment with my vexta 5 phase motors and if works ok will be the way to go with the another 3 i have. If i dont see this tutorial i have notingh alse than buy 4 - 24 volt power supply and That should be expensive. So, wath do you think? any cons you may imagine about this experiment? Sorry about my english. |
