New Machine Build- Almost Finished

I just thought that I would post a few photos of my Aluminum Frame Gantry Router. It is about 99% complete. I started it just after Christmas Last year. A friend of mine did the design and then he advised me as I was building it,(in his full blown machine shop). I have just begun to do the testing and setup with Mach and smooth stepper. Motors and drives from Keling. I'll post more as I work the bugs out.

I think you owe your friend a beer or two, that is a very good design.
I noticed you allready started some lightening cutouts on the Bridge uprights, you could probably take that a bit further if needed, i like the strength of those even tho they may be heavy.
Noticed a rib on the underbeam of the Bridge also good feature even tho I could not see how thick of a rib that is.
Looking forward to hear how it performs, should do well on aluminum cutting.
