im about to upgrade my vacuum table from just a mere 5hp shop vac... im considering either the lighthouse brand vacuum pumps like here: 117123-13 240 volt ShopBot Vacuum Motors and have also been considering this rotary vane style pump here: model 1100 Vacuum system table Air blower pump holddown CNC Router Canada USA .... i cant find much info on the motiontek vane pump. it is about 3X the $$$ of the lighthouse pumps. they look to run about the same cfm... so for the difference in price do i get a way higher vacuum reading??? just looking for a few thoughts. i am holding full sheets of plywood down and cutting into various shapes. sometimes quite small. 6".. and i never seem to cut the same project twice. i would run 2 of whatever i choose. as i am limited to about 15 amps at 240v. is the vane style pump worth the extra dough$$??? does anyone have any experience with this vane pump? shnitzel |
