I decided to try my hand at making my own. Here is the router maiking the part that will attache to the festool mounting posts. You can also see my second gen dust shield. This one has a little piece that lets me access the router bit for setting Z axis with my probe. Here is me mounting the pen holder to the router. Now here is me insering the pen into the holder and drawing some text. I had the thing set to feed abit too fast but it still came out well. Here I am drawing godzilla |

| Nice Job. ![]() They are very handy things pen holders, I use one to make part patterns when fitting things into awkward shaped space's. Like a motorcycle guard that was made last week to fit between frame rails that where twisty and very awkward to measure. Just printed out on clear acetate with a watermarker then offerup and see where it needs altering wipe clean make alterations and print again repeating untill perfect. Great time and material saver. EDIT: Why dont you either fit into existing plate that hold vacuum if enough room or make a another modified version to take the pen then you dont have to mess around swapping bases, just remove the velcro edging when using pen.? |

| The holder is made fromsom of those $3 ceramic bearing bushings I got off amazon. The Pen is a sharpee with some little plast busings I cut with my laser so that the pen fits in the busings. The key is to hold the pen with as little movement as possible and add some wieght so it can provide its own constant pressure. |
