The source.... Dodge/Chrysler mini van sliding doors. VW Routan as well. I will make some simple brackets to secure the ends in place.

Chrysler and Dodge mini vans but I don't know what years... I know the current crop of crapwagons have them, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were on late 90s models as well. Should be fairly easy to find at most junk yards.

With the sliding door open, look along the bottom track and you will see them in plain view. I think just some wire cutters is really all you need to get them out of a wrecked van. The ones I got were given to me for helping to get a VW up and running, so I didn't remove them first hand.

They are super easy to take apart and make into a custom length.

Now, if they'd just start using linear rails along with
the cable carriers.....

8 rails per seat would be good for us.
