Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and CNC routing. I have a technical back ground, some experience with CAD (Turbocad Pro V12.2) and I have a woodworking shop. I have been intrigued by CNC machines since they first appeared on the consumer market. I am interested in building a small 3'x4' CNC router as a means to help in my shop and better understand how CNC routers are made. I have a good understanding of computers, electronics but I suspect this is going to be a very challenging project. I hope to follow a logical path and not end up in dead ends. Any help and advice would be greatly accepted and appreciated! Steve |

| Hey Steven and cnczone, I am also new to the forum and I'm looking forward to some advice and tips for my new cnc router. I know it can make my life a whole lot easier if I just learned how to use it properly. I currently administer a woodwork projects site where I offer help to woodworkers looking for ideas and plans for their next woodworking projects. |

| Probably a good idea is to follow some of the build logs and ask questions in the appropriate forum when the time comes to clarify anything. Al.
