Windshield-wiper Motors I am currently using steppers on my machine but I have been seeing these 12V 4A windshield-wiper motors. I have seen them for 12 - $18. I bought one and am going to hook it up to a encoder and see what I can do with it. I figure I could make a little PWM contoler out of PIC microcontroller and have a nice cheap powerfull motor. Han anyone seen these motors of have tried anything similar? Or, other dc (or AC) motors used in this fashion for a CNC router/mill? Mark |

| I used them once (not for CNC - just as mixer motor). Had a lot of torque but not speed (it's geared down inside the housing).
