This is probably the most informative and complicated site I've ever used. I am guessing that this is the right place for this. Most of the commercial component Z-axis guides that I have seen, so far, are round shafting and bushings. Is there any reason not to use a rail and ball trucks like THK LU series? I would be using a router for a spindle. Larry |

| A lot of what you'll see on home built machines is dictated by cost. THK's are the better option, but also the most expensive.
