I'm building my table out of 8020. Weight of the table is around $170lbs, not including anything else. I figure my rails would add another 50lbs. The gantry and z axis/router around 200lbs. I'm using servo motors with a max of a bout 380ipm. When I got the quote from 8020, they seem to think that the table needs to be bolted down. What do you think? |

| Depends on how fast you're acceleration is, and what the base of your machine is? Does it have small, slippery feet? I use leveling feet made from hockey pucks. Very grippy.
