Hi everyone, I was looking to order something like the Dumpster couplers for my machine. Only problem is they are not large enough for what I need. I need to connect 1/2" 6TPI Acme to a Nema34 Shaft (14mm) I could possibly get the thread lathed down to 10mm so I would only need a 14mm-10mm coupler, but I cant find anything like this either. Anyone have any ideas? (I dont want to get custom machined ones as they will be heaps expensive) I was thinking I could just connect the 2 with tubes and clamps and then make my own version of a lovejoy on the machine once its running - Last resort really Cheers John Edit: I know Mcmaster have them, but they dont ship to Aus |

| Hi John You can get those size lovejoy coupler parts from the Hubbard CNC ebay store http://myworld.ebay.com.au/carolbrent/ just go to the store and look through their lovejoy couplers. they sell each half seperatly so you can make it to suit. I have just purchased some through them and they were great to deal with Gully |

| Perfect! Thank you very much ![]() I was not aware that all Lovejoy couplers mate with each other, makes the range very good ![]() They have 10mm, 14mm and spiders in stock for $14 per axis One question: Will I need to machine my 1/2" Acme thread smooth down to 10mm to get the coupler to fit on, or will a standard 1/2" lovejoy clamp onto the thread with a simple flat ground onto it? |
