Hi, Ive been having problems running my Y axis with just one motor. Due to the problems trying to keep the Y square I have decide to change to a two motor setup, one on each side of the gantry. Ive had a look around and have seen that people have connected two motors to 1 driver in parallel. But I had a spare driver on my board so I decided to connect my extra motor to the spare driver. Now I cant drive both the Y axis motors at the same time using Mach3. Ive tried this motor output config. Axis Step Dir Y 2-5 17-9 Y 2,5 17,9 This has not had an affect and only drives one motor. Is it possible to set up one axis to use 2 different drivers? Thanks Telly |

| Set up one as the A or B axis, and slave it to the Y axis using Config>Slaving. Make sure they are assigned their own step and direction pins.

| Not trying to hijack the thread, but it is related.... When adding homing switches to a dual motor axis, do you use one switch for both axes? Would you put it on the primary (not slaved) axis? Or do you use two limits precisely set up so that axis squares itself up? Thanks! Howard |

| You can do it either way.
