Hello Everybody, I am new on this website, I saw lot's of nice CNC routers built. My boss want me to build one CNC router for machine fiberglass GP03 board (0.50" and .75" thick) and cut 1/16" x 3/8" slots on GP03 channels (0.56" x 2.00" x .125"). I looked throu different designs and found that 2'x3' CNC Router plans from www.cncrouterparts.com will be close to what I am looking for. But now I am stuck with spindle choice. I was thinking that Bosch router 1617EVS or Porter Cable 7518 will be stong enought to cut fiberglass, but Bosch and Porter Cable Manufacturers told me that both these routers not design to cut fiberglass. I also spoke with Milwaukee company and they told me same thing. Could you please sudggest me which Router Spindle I need to be able machine fiberglass. |

| Handheld routers are made to route wood, by hand. But they'll work perfectly fine in fiberglass if you don't push them too hard and make several shallow passes. You can also try a Chinese spindle from Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/2-2KW-WATER-COOL...item3cad41f5c1
