What settings in mach3 are some of you guys using in cv mode to get an outside 90 degree corner nice and square and not rounded in the slightest. I have CV turned on but I also have the check box lit up where it has the option to "stop cv on angles > __ degrees". I set it to 89 so in theory it should come to a complete stop for anything greater than that right? So when routing a 90 degree square angle corner the machine should come to a complete stop and then change direction making the corner nice and sharp. Right?????? |

| I think mine is set to 90°. But I really don't like using it, because it has a tendency to also stop on tangent arcs and lines, which it shouldn't be doing. Also, make sure you turn off all other CV options, both in General Config and the settings page. An alternative that I use occasionally is the Tempest development trajectory planner. It's available at the Machsupport forum. I use it when doing a lot of the same part. It's a bit limited, and has no pause or FRO, but it runs really good. You can set the path error tolerance. If you set the tolerance to .001 or less, you'll get CV with no rounded corners, and no stopping.
