It was late last night when I got my pc up and going with mach 3. I set my parallel port to the correct setting in the bios. I am now wondering what I need to do with that file that is provided for mach 3 to work with the g540 and is there anything else I need to do besides plug it in and start mach 3? |

Just put it in the Mach3 folder; it should show up as a "profile" in Mach Loader. Choose that when you start up and see if it works. Andrew Werby www.computersculpture.com |

| I just did this yesterday. You copy the xml as directed. Start the loader, and you will see it. You must put the E-Stop circuit in place (or at least connect a wire between the E-stop input and ground). You don't need the home/limit switches to get something to move. It "just works" after that, although you will need to put your own values for the steps and such, which depend on your drive components. |
