Hi everyone! At first, sorry for my, maybe, crappy english. My name is Björn and i live in the northern areas of sweden. I am educated as a carpenter. Ever since i was a little boy i liked to build and invent stuff, this just escalated as i grew older and about a year ago i came up, after i stumbeled on this forum and a nice swedish cncforum, with the idea to build my own CNC. Originally i thought small but with many designs and inspirationpics around the net i finally decided to go "real" and big. the final design ended up like this and the building was on. ![]() I found a nice person thru my swedish forum who could help me to cut out all the aluminiumparts that i needed for my build, the result: ![]() After alot of drilling and taping it ended up like this: ![]() The 3Kw chinaspindle with watercooling: ![]() ![]() The Parts just hung on place so i could see how it looks (missing the linear carriges to X and Y axes) note the 1,8 meter long waterlevel, it looks like a toy ![]() ![]() The Z axis partly assembeled: ![]() ![]() And a video to with the Z in motion (driven by a screwdriver) YouTube- MovieSome pics at the electrical parts to. Just so u know, i HAD zero experience whith this stuffs so the guys at the swedish forum helped me alot. It works atleast, dont judge me :P ![]() The Psu gives ~62 VDC and gonna supply 4 Granite Devices VSD-XE. They are gonna run 4 BLDC servos, 3 at 660W and one at 110W. ![]() ![]() hmm, i think this will sum up the most of the work that are done sofar, i will update when summit more happens. Comments are appreciated. |

| Very nice clean looking design. Not at all as cluttered looking as mine. ![]() I have no doubt that it will cut aluminum. You just need to experiment with feed, speed, and depth to find where your machine works best. CarveOne

| Im glad that you like my design, i have worked on it many, many hours. its funny tho when i look at my first designattempts and see the difference, not even similar to each others:O ye i guess its just a question of settings and adjustments to make it cut aluminium. A vaccumtable would be nice too, when i cut whole sheets of MDF |

| I have make some progress too on my build. The Nexen RPS system has arrived along with some couplings for my servos. I have gotten quite far in the mechanical aspects of the build, some few things left (but it sure gonna eat som time). ill post some pics and if u wonder anything just ask. I will try to update as much as i can cus i know u cncgeeks like pictures |
