| HI GANG i have now got my machine but have no idea on how to set it up, i was hoping that someone would now how to do this and also the peoblem is the software i have is in german. i have pcnc in german and linux in german, i have no idea what it says anywhere and have no idea on how to chnage it to english if it does change that is. i have been told what pins to set to what and the motor steps but thats it really and also it dont help when you know nothing about cnc routers of the software. i got this machine so learn with but i am having no luck and i am now begging for you help. here is the machine i have got http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 thanks and looking forward to the help and it would be great if someone local to me would help and maybe come round to show me. thanks chris |

| I suggest you find out from the manufacturer if they have an english version of the software. If not then you should consider getting windows on the pc and running something like Mach2 or turbocnc. It will cost extra money but will save a lot of trouble and time. |

| Since you're already using linux why don't you take a look at EMC. You can find it here : www.linuxcnc.org. From the link you gave I understand your machine uses " Takt / Richtung ", wich means step and direction so I have to agree with Splint that windows/Mach2 is the easiest way to go. |
