Well always liked what you had to say in the posts. And was going to post this to the list.. But I jut got 6 rails (133" long) that fit Star 1623-314-10 (think the 1623-314-20 is the new model) (got 12 of those blocks in the deal) specs here: http://www.boschrexroth.com/country_...lrail_1623.pdf Anyway objective is to make another better machine then my 4x8 that I built back in 2006.. Was curiuos if you had ideas how you might orient the blocks for a gantry if you were making/ using those parts for x,y and Z.. These are VERY large blocks. Would result in a pretty heavy duty machine I think.. Still think I would want to maintain a similar gantry design to my http://users.ameritech.net/watchdogf...ineDetails.htm machine that I built before. I like being able to clamp around the paramiter of the work piece.. Anyway would like to hear what you might do if you had this rail to work with. b. |
