I could swear I saw someone had built a small CNC router and used the motors from an old printer or 3 but I can't remember where. I'd be interested in doing the same so any information on how to setup such a beast would be greatly appreciated. |

| The motors in the old LaserJet printers (models I, II, and III) are 100 oz in steppers. They can work for a small to medium sized router, with ease...and they're quite available and affordable. I picked up some true junker printers from a thrift store, for 60 cents each. -- Chuck Knight |

| Yes I use them in my 1st one and now on my larger machine, and they work good no problems with missing steps cutting average 30ipm, i have cut on the small one 60ipm, and on the larger one 45ipm. Here is my link.. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10067 Joe |

| I used even smaller printer motors from some ink jets on my cnc machine, http://www.cnczone.com/gallery/showp...cat/500/page/1 you can see two of the motors im the picture |
